Research and Development

At NTB, we are constantly challenging ourselves to do new things. To maximize profits, often builders and subcontractors niche down and become specialized in one specific operation. That often leads to a lack of creativity and ability to see solutions that are not immediately obvious. Knowing this, Northern Tier Builders created an internal program we joking call “Research and Development.”  Whether its shaping canoe paddles, fabricating steel signs on buzz saw blades, crafting rocking chairs or molding concrete countertops; R & D allows us to stretch our creative muscles. The correlation between a canoe paddle and building a 10 foot long walnut island might be difficult to see, but a staggering amount of the same processes, knowledge and skills carry over.

Custom Concrete countertops give this kitchen a modern industrial feel.  We precast the countertops off site and installed them after the cabinets were set.
